About us
Co-owner, Sarah (Lynn) McLernon is an Emergency Physician that moved to Nova Scotia from Alberta for the love of the maritimers, the ocean AND to work twice as hard and be paid half as much! ;). She has travelled the world and has sampled many of the unique flavours and styles of cooking which have inspired her to take part in a career in something other then Medicine. The most obvious consideration to her was to provide healthy, sustainable fare, that would help support local farmers, without compromising taste. This is not to say that the Nomad does not have items that would be considered "a heart attack on a plate" as she calls it, but as long as people don't eat it every day!
Lynn and Jason have always had a love for food that has led them to have an outright obsession to provide something that will be considered Nova Scotia inspired, with a eclectic gourmet flare.
